2025 will likely be remembered as a tumultuous year, where many certainties became uncertainties.
As we venture into 2026, we are glad to invite you to an evening that will provide food for thought and also space for reflexion.
On January 29, the documentary theater piece End to Begin written and directed by Gloria Benedikt (ALB 2013) will return to the Odeon Theater in Vienna.
Plot: What did people around 2025 think, know, do, fear, and hope for?
This is precisely what people in the year 2075 want to understand so they can comprehend why they live the way they do. Therefore, they send a scientist, a philosopher, a diplomat, an activist, and three masters of ceremonies back to Vienna around the turn of the quarter-century. Ambassadors to the Future Generation – including climate scientist and IIASA Director-General John Schellnhuber, co-founder of the Kontext Institute, Katharina Rogenhofer, and Green Tech Enterpreneur Andrea Gori – support their mission and help create a moving narrative about the present that inspires hope.
Harvard Club members can gather at reserved tables at the bar inside the Odeon from 7 pm and after the performance.
The performance starts at 7.30 pm.
Basic command in German is recommended to follow the plot.
